Director’s Bay

This dive spot on the tip of Caracasbay island is a 10 minutes drive from the dive shop. Formerly a private beach for the directors of Shell, now it is one of the best dive spots accessible from shore. After ascending some small stairs there’s a beautiful natural beach with crystal clear water.
The reef begins 15 meters from shore and has a wall covered with sea rods, sea fans, tube sponges and star coral. In the deeper part the black coral and elephant ear sponges dominate the wall.
You’ll find schools of fish like sergeant majors, blue head wrasse and blue chromis. The nutrient rich water ensure plenty of schooling fish, which attract hunters like barracuda’s and jack’s. In the shallows you find octopus, squid and frogfish.
