EFR (Emergency First Response) courseThis first aid course is for anyone who wants to learn to administer first aid. Because of its broad setup its interesting and suitable for both divers and non divers alike. During the course you will learn in a relaxed, fun and practical manner how to react when confronted with medical emergencies. The major part of the course consists of CPR (Primary care). Besides CPR there is emphasis on shock, how to stop bleeding, evaluation of symptoms, allergic reactions, poisoning, hypo and hyperthermia etc. (Secondary care). After you have finished the EFR course you also fulfilled one of the prerequisites for the PADI Rescue Diver and the PADI Divemaster course. Much of the preparation for the theory can be done at home with the EFR manual and the DVD. That is why the course only takes one day.
