PADI Open Water Diver course
| During this course you will learn all the basics about diving. The course is accessible for everybody and does not require any prior diving experience. If you are not completely sure whether diving is the thing for you, you can try the introduction dive first. After this dive you can still enroll in the PADI Open Water course. Once the course is completed you will be the proud owner of the PADI Open Water Diver certificate. This certificate is valid throughout the world and enables you to independently (with a buddy) plan and make dives to a maximum of 18 meters/ 60 feet. |

| Much of the theory is done through self-study by reading the accompanying manual. During the theory lessons you will watch the PADI Open water DVD and the instructor will elaborate the theory a little bit more to make sure everything is clear. Then a small quiz is made to check whether you understood everything. |

| You will take part in skill sessions in shallow and calm water first. All the diving skills you need to successfully participate in the four open water dives will be explained and demonstrated to you. During the open water dives you will perform all the skills again, but this time under real diving conditions. The four dives will be done at different locations on the island (if possible), so even during the course you will get a good impression of what there is to see among the beautiful reefs on Curacao. |

Requirements for participation:
- Min. 10 years of age.
- Participants between 10-15 years of age will receive the junior certification.
Duration of course: 3½ days.
