PADI Rescue Diver course
| As a Rescue Diver you will learn how to deal with all sorts of problems that may arise when diving, both underwater and above water. During the previous courses the focus was on you, your skills and interests. The Rescue Diver course however teaches you to look after the other divers, so that you can assist them when problems do arise. |

| You will learn how to solve small problems such as a tired diver, divers with equipment problems, divers with cramp, loss of buoyancy control etc. Most importantly you will learn how to prevent problems from occurring. Besides these skills you will also be taught how to assist or manage and organize a rescue in case of an emergency. |

| You can only assist other divers when your own diving skills are flawless. Therefore a big part of the course is based on perfecting your dive skills. To be able to help divers who are injured, you enroll in the EFR course. This can be done in conjunction with the Rescue course. The PADI Rescue diver course is very much focused on real scenarios and will give you a lot of experience and self-confidence. |

| The theory is mainly self-study. At home you can start by reading the chapters of the accompanying manual and write down all the knowledge reviews. During the classes you will watch the DVD and discuss your reviews with the instructor. The open water training consists of 5 sessions. In these sessions you will learn twelve different skills and scenarios of dive accidents. |
Requirements for participation:
- Be certified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
- Be 12 years of age or older.
- Hold a Emergency First Response (EFR) certification or proof of first aid and reanimation certification which is not older than 2 years.
Duration of course: 2½ days + 1 day EFR.
